AFA hosted the Women Printmakers of Austin (WPA) at its August meeting. Over ten WPA members shared their work and explained the printmaking processes they used. The processes included woodblock printing, intaglio printing (which includes four different etching subprocesses), and lithography. The owners of StoneMetal Press also discussed that they have etching, litho, and letter presses available for artists to use at their studio. In addition, they can accommodate steamroller prints up to 4′ x 8′ and silkscreening. You can find more information at their website: http://www.womenprintmakers.com .
