Harriet Turner’s “Fabulous Beading” workshop on February, Saturday 11th and Sunday, 12th will include making a “Stash Bag” with 3 pockets. One to hold a common sized ID badge and 2 for cards/notes, tickets/cash stash and a pen. Each will be personalized and able to be worn around the neck. Three skills will be taught; bead embroidery, at least 3 fringes, and 2 needle-peyote. Graphing for seed beads and for Delica Size size 11′s and basic sewing within leather or suede style fabrics are part of the process. No machine sewing is necessary for students.

The class will require a minimum of 6 students up to 10 maximum.

Fee for 2 days: $42.00 plus $10 for kit (kit payable at class time)

The last day to sign up and make your full payment will be Feb. 1st, 10 days before the workshop.

Learn something new or hone your beading skills

Oscar Silva, recognized for his fine work with fiber and mixed media will offer a host of surprises for his April Workshop, 21st-22nd Workshop. His work utilizes unusual elements; metal, barnacles, beads, jute, handmade paper and wood to mention a few. Expand your creativity; this workshop is sure to fill up quickly.

Marie Spaulding of “Living Felt” will show you how to make one of her funky purses one day and a funky pillow the next on June, 9th-10th. Sink your hands into wonderful colorful wool. The Workshop will be held at her store, so do a little shopping too.
