Anil Ravipudi, the mastermind behind eight consecutive commercial triumphs, revealed the intricate process that drives his filmmaking during Gulte’s Directors Roundtable 2025. "My films are a collective effort," Ravipudi explained. "During the script stage, I gather a diverse group of people and observe their reactions. I can't wait to see how the audience responds once it's released."
He emphasized his willingness to show his work to a broad spectrum of viewers. "Some filmmakers might be hesitant to share their films, but I embrace the opportunity to show scenes to anyone, even those who aren't seasoned critics. I pay close attention to their reactions, their laughter, and make adjustments when necessary."
Ravipudi acknowledged the unique challenges of assessing comedy. "Reactions can vary significantly over two consecutive days, leading to confusion. This happened with my previous film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. In such moments, you must trust your instincts."
The director also addressed the logistical hurdles of modern filmmaking, the evolving landscape influenced by AI, and the growing impact of negative trends on social media. He provided a brief update on the progress of his upcoming film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh.
