This album marks a special tribute to the late frontman, Tomas Lindberg, who passed away in September 2025 due to complications from cancer treatment. The album was recorded and mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, and features artwork by Robert Samsonowitz. The album remains true to Tomas's vision, combining the band's signature ferocious energy and hard-hitting powerful melodies.'
The album's opening track, 'The Fever Mask', is being released as a single today, accompanied by a heartfelt tribute video to Tomas Lindberg, assembled by longtime collaborator Patric Ullaeus. The song is a powerful representation of the band's essence, blending raw energy, strong melodies, and beautiful lyrics penned by Tomas.

Lindberg's AT THE GATES bandmates announced his condition in August 2025, revealing he was receiving around-the-clock care at a hospital after being diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC), a rare and aggressive cancer typically developing in the salivary glands. Despite his passing, Lindberg's legacy lives on through 'The Ghost Of A Future Dead', an album that showcases the band's evolution and dedication to their music.
