Day 1 of the 2025 Raleigh Rumble brought an exhilarating start to the competition, with NC State, Ohio State, and Virginia Tech showcasing their aquatic prowess. Held on November 7-8, 2025, in Raleigh, North Carolina, this SCY (25 Yards) meet had everyone on the edge of their seats.

Morning Session

Women's Events:

The morning session was a showcase of NC State's dominance. Tyler Driscoll (https://swimswam.com/tag/tyler-driscoll/) set the tone with a school record in the 50 fly (23.18). Leah Shackley (https://swimswam.com/tag/leah-shackley/) and Eneli Jefimova (https://swimswam.com/tag/eneli-jefimova/) followed suit, winning the 50 back (23.66) and setting a new school record in the 50 breast prelims (26.30), respectively. Cassie Moses (https://swimswam.com/tag/cassie-moses/) nearly matched her season best in the 50 free (22.11).

Mila Nikanorov (https://swimswam.com/tag/mila-nikanorov/) from Ohio State claimed the 1000 freestyle (9:35.62), slightly off her previous performance against Penn State.

Erika Pelaez (https://swimswam.com/tag/erika-pelaez/) of NC State secured the 200 backstroke (1:51.32) and later dominated the 100 IM (54.08), setting a new school record and significantly improving her personal best. Jefimova added another win in the 200 breaststroke (2:08.86), leading the nation with her DMT time.

Leah Shackley took the 200 fly (1:55.61), ranking 8th in the country this season. The NC State women's team also secured the 400 medley relay, setting a school record (3:28.89).

Men's Events:

NC State and Virginia Tech shared the spotlight in the men's events.
