The Weavers and Spinners Society of Austin will be on the WEST Austin
Studio Tour this year, with weaving, spinning, felting, dyeing, and
design software demonstrations, along with members’ works available
for sale. AFA members are welcome to join WSSA members and friends at
the Preview on Friday, April 26, 6:30-9:00 pm, at 2802 Benbrook Dr.,
Austin. The Studio Tour occurs the weekends of April 27-28 and May
4-5, 11:00 am-6:00 pm.

And now for something totally different! Stacy Park — Saturday November 10, from 4-6pm. Mark your calendar!
Come and join us and support members of the Austin dance community. AFA will have our first ever collaboration with several Austin dance groups. Thanks to the leadership of Mary Macaulay, AFA will have fiber installations in the park. At least one of the groups will be dancing in the park with a length of our hand-dyed fabric.
Stacy Park runs through Travis Heights along Blunn Creek (situated between I:35 and South Congress and just north of Oltorf.) It is one of the jewels of Austin and flows into Lady Bird Lake. The event is very child and dogs on leashes friendly.
Hope to see you in the park — come in your hand-painted tennis shoes!! Don’t have any — find an old pair and PAINT them!
